Born in Cesena in Italy, Savadori had a solid start to his WorldSBK career, as one of the youngest in the class he was able to secure a top ten championship finish in 2016. After beginning his career in European and regional minimoto championships, the Italian first began to stand out with his second place in the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2007 before competing in the Spanish, Italian and World 125 Championships.
Savadori first made his mark in the WorldSBK paddock in 2011, as he contested his first season in the STK1000 Cup, a category in which he subsequently raced in for five seasons. In 2014 he narrowly missed out on his chance to take the title, as he fell on the last lap of the round in Magny-Cours in the rain. Forced to settle for second that year, Savadori finally achieved his goal the next season; winning four races and getting seven podiums on his way to getting the 2015 title.
Savadori moved up into WorldSBK with Aprilia and IodaRacing in 2016, where he was able to consistently finish in the top ten as well as close to a podium finish as the season progressed. Sticking with the Aprilia RSV4 RF for 2017 but with Milwaukee Aprilia and Shaun Muir’s squad, the Italian’s goal will be to progress and secure that all important podium finish.
