Hacking back in for Tamada at Misano and Donington
Jamie Hacking wowed the multitudes of WSB fans at Miller, and impressed the official factory Kawasaki Superbike team with his pace on track and application in the pit garage, all of which contributed to Jamie being picked to replace the still-injured Makoto Tamada for the Misano and Donington WSB rounds.
Tamada suffered hand injuries in the dramatic first turn crash at Monza, and to ensure he comes back fully fit, Hacking has been brought in to give Makoto more chance of a full recovery before the Imola tests begin in mid-July.
Hacking, who has been a feisty and effective rider in the AMA series for some time, was seventh in race one at Miller, and rode a ZX-10R full time in the AMA championship last year, all of which makes him an ideal choice to rejoin the equally combative team regular Broc Parkes once more.
Hacking will now have the chance of riding at another home round - Donington - as he was born in Lancashire, England, before moving to the US as a child.
