The Hoegee Suzuki Team has been forced to withdraw from the 2009 World Supersport season, with immediate effect, simply because of the effects of the economic crisis. The return of the team is a possibility in 2010, according to a communication of the team, with some potential sponsors unable to commit now, but who may still be interested in a return next year.

Said Team Manager Marc Hoegee, "I started this challenging adventure back in 2005, with the team we had the opportunity to show our capabilities. Despite huge efforts we simply cannot line up sponsors fast enough to allow us to continue in a responsible manner. I really do find that last part important. The fact we had to stop really affects me deeply. Everybody has invested a lot of energy in it. However this is the reality and we have to accept that as it is. I want to thank the riders and other team members very much for their huge efforts the past years and again t his season. I also want to thank our sponsors and those who cordially helped us over the years for their efforts."
