Corti warms up for Monza with CIV race
"We have decided at the last moment to take part in the CIV race and I think it is the right decision" declared the Italian. "With the new Superstock regulations, which only give you one qualifying session, often you can find yourself struggling if the set-up is not right, and this has repercussions on your performance in the race. We already tested here successfully, now we can go back and try and improve the set-up, so we can approach the qualifying in a more relaxed way.
"At Assen the race didn't go the way I expected. The team did a good job, and tried everything to find the right set-up, but the feeling at the front was a bit of a problem and that didn't allow me to be competitive under braking and in cornering. In the end fifth place was a good result, given the situation, but I was a bit disappointed because Assen is a track where I've always gone well and I wanted to get onto the podium. The CIV race will give me a bit of training, I certainly won't be going there looking for trouble just for the sake of a good result".
