Biaggi goes quickest on day 2
Following the departure of Carlos Checa (Ducati Althea Racing), who set quickest time yesterday, today it was the turn of Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia) to head the field At Motorland Aragon. The reigning world champion set a fastest time of 1 minute 58.7 seconds, four tenths off the pace of his Spanish rival.


Four riders were tied for second place, with a time of 1'59.2: Michel Fabrizio, looking more and more positive with the Suzuki Alstare, Troy Corser, who tested two different spec BMWs, Noriyuki Haga (Aprilia Pata Racing), who had a minor crash, and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki), the real surprise of these tests.


Leon Camier lapped in 1'59.3 on the second Aprilia, while Leon Haslam continued acclimatization work with his new BMW machine and almost got under the 2 minute mark. Fuijwara was eighth quickest on the second Kawasaki.


Tomorrow sees the third and final day of testing at Aragon.
