Checa, a cat amongst the Superbike pigeons
"We adapted quite well to the track," declared Checa, who had the advantage of an extra day's testing there on Tuesday. "The circuit is really nice although I don't particularly like the short uphill bit before the pits. We worked well with our new engineer Marco, who will also come with me to MotoGP to help establish our rapport. We were given a few different things to try by Ohlins, all of which were good, but I didn't have time to chose the one I want to work with. With the new electronics package the bike has an excellent base for next season".
Checa is now on his way to Estoril this weekend but his morale is high after the Aragon test. "I'm feeling optimistic because a few changes in the team have put us in a better position than this year. For this a big thanks to Genesio Bevilacqua and Ducati. I'm sorry I had to leave early because we could have finished the work load but I'm also happy to have an opportunity to do the last two MotoGP races, and I'd like to thank Genesio for allowing me to do this".
