WSS paddock welcomes wild-card Lowry

Northern Ireland's Ian Lowry will make a wild card appearance at the Silverstone World Supersport round next week aboard an IFS/Lowe Yamaha R6. This follows a successful outing at the recent Irish Superbike round at Kirkistown, where the young Moira rider broke the lap record and won the first Supersport race.
The team will be managed by ex-MotoGP racer Jeremy McWilliams with support from IFS global logistics, Lowe refrigeration, Fonacab and Racedays.
Lowry finished 5th and top rookie in the British Superbike championship last year and has previously raced in the World Superbike paddock weekends in the Suzuki GSX-R Cup.
"I'm really excited about being back on a Supersport bike again," declared Lowry. "I have a couple of loyal sponsors who have helped put together this fantastic opportunity to race on the world stage, and I have to say a big thanks to everyone who has made this happen."
