This week saw the fifth edition of the annual Motor Sport Business Forum take place at the Grimaldi Exhibition and Congress Centre in Monaco. The Motor Sport Business Forum is a marketing and networking event that brings together top motorsport professionals in a unique business setting away from the track.

This year Infront Motor Sports CEO, Paolo Flammini, was invited to the event, which took place on 9-10th December, to talk about the Superbike World Championship.

Some of the major global motor racing championships found themselves ‘competing' with each other on the second day of the Forum. Paolo Flammini (CEO, IMS/Superbike World Championship); Sonja Kreye (Business Relations Director, Porsche Motorsport); Marcello Lotti (General Manager, FIA World Touring Car Championship); Ferran Juncar (Sponsorship Director, Dorna/MotoGP); and Stephane Ratel (CEO, SRO/FIA GT Championship) were all participating in the session on World Motor Sport.

Conference chairman James Allen asked them each the same question: What is their championships' Unique Selling Point?

Paolo Flammini: "We believe the strong selling point of World Superbike is that it is a great show. It is a very attractive form of motor sport and the accessibility of the event really makes a lot of difference between Superbikes and the more established forms of motor sport."

Brightening up the entrance to the Grimaldi Forum were two of the latest generation World Superbike machines, Ben Spies' title-winning Yamaha YZF-R1 and Noriyuki Haga's Ducati 1098.
