Biaggi happy with Magny-Cours podiums
A third and then a second place were high rewards for the factory Aprilia Racing team at Magny-Cours, each of their top results coming via the force of racing nature that is Max Biaggi.

His French adventures were a vindication that the entire Aprilia operation is heading in a more than positive direction, and when added to the podium for Marco Simoncelli at Imola, Biaggi's win at Brno and the other best 2009 results, Aprilia as a manufacturer has now scored nine top three places in its return to WSB this year.

Biaggi knew he was in a tough contest at Magny-Cours, however, and with the top two riders in the championship having so much to play for he was particularly pleased to be part of the front-running battle once again. "We've grown a lot in these last few rounds, and after the first heat we made some small changes that worked quite well. I dedicate this second place finish to my team, which is truly fantastic," said Biaggi.

"It was a very difficult race; we were all quite fast and all at the same level, the pace up front was intense. In the first part of the second race Haga had set an excellent pace but he wasn't too far ahead, even though a stone broke my front fairing halfway through the race and I lost ground to check and make sure the radiator wasn't broken," said Biaggi. "It was a nice battle that we rode to the limit. We had an excellent race."
