New Zealand's Simon Crafar will be the head coach for the new World Superbike support series; the European Junior Cup. Crafar enjoyed a successful career in Grand Prix and the World Superbike championship, with a famous win at Donington Park and numerous podium finishes. He now coaches trackday enthusiasts and budding racers at circuits all around Europe.
The European Junior Cup takes place at six of the World Superbike rounds in 2011 and features 14 to 17 year old racers competing on identical Kawasaki Ninja 250 R machinery. The series has been conceived to provide close, competitive racing and to help prepare promising young riders for a successful career in motorcycle sport.
To aid this Simon and other star riders will be providing the Junior Cup racers with advice and guidance throughout the race weekend.
