Giugliano enters testing ban in confident mood

New signing for Ducati Superbike Team Davide Giugliano had a successful test - the third of the post-season - last week at Jerez, that gave him further confidence for 2014. The 24 year old Italian, who tried the 1199 Panigale for the first time two years ago, when it was still under development, has given positive feedback to his crew about the work done so far and he's looking forward to get back on track, once the compulsory testing ban will draw to a close.

"The test went really well" Giugliano told WorldSBK.com "we are working hard and we are eager to do more. We tried different strategies and new parts, we focused a lot on the electronics and the overall feeling with the bike. We did a lot of laps and gathered a lot of data, the synergy with my track engineer Luca Ferraccioli and my electronics technician Luca Minelli - who are the two confirmed on my side of the garage - is already excellent, as well as with every other team member. We found a good base for the bike to build on."

"We were quite competitive at Jerez but also at Aragon, where Chaz especially proved we can be very fast" he continued. "I reckon we can do well and I'm sure Ducati and Feel Racing will put the data gathered to good use during the winter. I can't wait to get back on track and to see where we're at once the testing ban will draw to a close."
