During the second of two days of private testing scheduled by Ducati at Misano, Eddi La Marra suffered a heavy crash. This morning, also due to the rain feel during the course of the night that changed the track conditions, the Italian rider was thrown off his Ducati 1199 R after riding over a still damp kerb. La Marra sustained a major concussion and lost consciousness for few seconds. He was immediately transferred by helicopter at Cesena's Bufalini hospital where a CAT scan was performed, and he is currently undergoing some further checks that, for now, seem to appear encouraging.
