Chaz Davies ready for Moscow after Goodwood FOS
Since Round 2 at Aragon, in which he scored his maiden WSBK double race win, Chaz Davies (BMW Motorrad GoldBet) has had some difficult times in trying to find his way onto the podium again. After a disappointing race in Imola, the British rider has found something to work on to improve his bike set-up during the following day's Official Test at the Italian track.

"In Imola I did the best that was possible but we just didn't get it right. For sure we need to keep improving, we have some ideas to improve my feeling on the bike, more my riding position. It's been a bit disappointing not to be on the podium since Aragon but it's not for the lack of trying, we're pushing 110%. After Aragon everybody said to me 'you are really arrived', and asked me if I thought I could win the Championship. My answer was the same as when I first rode the bike, the goal for the season is to finish in the top-5 and we're on the right way, but of course I would have loved to be on the podium more often."

Davies' first aim is to bounce back after a disappointing race at Imola, as the series resumes this weekend at Moscow Raceway. Before the upcoming Russian Round, Davies attended the iconic "Festival of Speed" to represent BMW. The German manufacturer has taken part in the event for many years, bringing historic and current cars and bikes to Goodwood. The Welshman rode a road version of the BMW HP4 up the hill, along with many motorsport legends and was impressed by the new supersports bike.

"Goodwood is always an amazing place to be. It's so much fun to be here. You have so much here, there's not just motorcycles from every era but also cars, from a hundred years old to modern F1", said Chaz. "And it was great to see people like Kenny Roberts, Kevin Schwantz and Giacamo Agostini. There are true legends from every age of racing, two and four wheels. My bike was in the paddock next to Helmut Dähne, who was on an amazing BMW Classic bike."

"The HP4 was great to ride", Chaz continued. "The traction control really comes into its own, as the surface on the Hill Climb is slippery enough. But the HP4 managed to keep on top of it all. I did a few wheelies along the way, too."
