• Tenth career pole for Tom Sykes, who joined Pierfrancesco Chili in the eighth all-time spot. In race one Tom scored the 40th win for Kawasaki, the fourth manufacturer to reach this goal after Ducati (now at 312 wins), Honda (113) and Yamaha (74);

• For Tom this was his fourth win, and his first from pole: up until now he had started eighteen times from pole (in the two races per round) but had never won from there. His wins came from the second spot (Monza and Moscow 2012) and from sixth (Nurburgring 2011);

• Best career result for Brett McCormick, fifth in race one;

• Third career win for Eugene Laverty, who didn't climb on the top step of the podium since his double in Monza last year;
