Sykes quickest in warm-up
Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) headed the times in the morning warm-up, going 0.155 seconds faster than Miller magic man Carlos Checa (Althea Racing Ducati). Third in the final pre-race action proved to be Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad Motorsport) with Max Biaggi (Aprilia Racing) fourth.
Fine weather blessed the track finally although some degree of wind was still evident for the riders to deal with. Leon Camier (FIXI Crescent Suzuki) was fifth as he finds continual improvements in his machine set-up.
