Camier galvanized by favourite Silverstone track
In the wake of his great run at Silverstone in 2010 and his podium earlier this year at Donington, Leon Camier (Aprilia Alitalia) has vowed to give his British fans more of the same in next weekend's round of the championship in the UK. Last year the Kent rider scored a third place in race 2 following a superb run through the field from sixteenth on the grid, to complete an all-British podium with Cal Crutchlow and Jonathan Rea. Leon Camier is currently lying three points behind Leon Haslam in the championship standings and will be keen to leapfrog his British compatriot at Silverstone.

"I'm really looking forward to getting out there and seeing all the new additions. The Silverstone Wing pit and paddock complex looks awesome", said Camier. "Silverstone has always been one of my favourite circuits as it's fast and flowing, and has plenty of overtaking opportunities, which no doubt I'll need with my track record!"

"I've had my fair share of races where I've had to fight my way through the field, probably one of the most memorable being at Silverstone last year. Going from 16th to stand on an all-British podium was something I'll never forget - the crowd was amazing and the support I had was unreal. I'm hoping we'll be able to put on another good show for the fans this weekend!"

Camier's ride thrilled the partisan British crowd and was probably one of the best weekends in his WSBK career. "Shafter" is currently in his second season in World Superbike. His best results so far are three podiums; two thirds at Donington Park and Aragon and a second place at Miller Motorsports Park.
