Biaggi moves up but Checa stays on top
Despite not improving on his Friday time Spain's Carlos Checa (Althea Racing Ducati) stayed on the top of the timesheets and goes into Superpole as the quickest in qualifying.

The positions behind Checa also remained the same, with Jakub Smrz (Effenbert-Liberty Racing Ducati) and Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team) in second and third.

Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team) continued his move up the timesheets, knocking three-tenths off his time and the Italian is now in fourth place, followed by Michel Fabrizio (Suzuki Alstare) who dipped under the two minute mark.

There was no improvement however for Eugene Laverty (Yamaha World Superbike Team) who slipped to sixth, ahead of Noriyuki Haga (Pata Racing Team Aprilia) and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team).

Both Castrol Honda riders, Ruben Xaus and Alex Lowes, together with Roberto Rolfo (Pedercini Kawasaki), Joan Lascorz and Chris Vermeulen (Kawasaki Racing Team) and Hungarian Viktor Kispataki (Prop-tech ltd. Honda) failed to make it into Superpole.
