Brno - A look back at 2010

Biaggi took the lead at the start of the first race in front of Rea and Xaus: during the opening lap Crutchlow managed to steal third, while Rea with a move on the outside of the last turn was able to take the lead. On the following lap Max had to give way also to Crutchlow and was slowed down by a move by Xaus, losing contact from the leaders.

Xaus and Biaggi passed each other a couple of times and Max was able to secure third only on the sixth lap, when Rea and Crutchlow were already on their own. Crutchlow was able to keep up with the Honda rider until the tenth lap, then he had to give up: Rea won alone, while Cal was sucked in by Biaggi, who passed him four laps from the end.

Biaggi took the lead also at the second start in front of Xaus and Rea, but a decisive move by Rea during the opening lap meant that Jonathan was in front and Biaggi, to steer clear from trouble, also gave way to Xaus, falling to third. He tried to snatch second back, but Xaus was having none of it and the Italian had to give up momentarily.

Rea tried immediately to pull away from the rest, stretching the front runners: Biaggi realized that Xaus wasn't able to keep up and passed him during the third lap, setting his sights on Rea. Xaus, Fabrizio and the rest of the pack lost contact, while Biaggi, after spending some laps behind Rea, took the lead on the seventh lap.

After that move Rea had no chance: Biaggi pulled away and took a solitary win, Rea was second and Fabrizio was a distant third.
