Australian Metcher on pole for STK600
21-year-old Australian Jed Metcher will start from pole in this afternoon's Superstock 600 European Championship round at Motorland Aragon. The MTM-RT Motorsports Team Yamaha man grabbed the pole from Italian Dino Lombardi (Martini Corse Yamaha) in the final seconds of qualifying, while the international flavor continues on the front row with the remaining two slots going to Frenchman Stéphane Egea (ASPI Yamaha) and Michael van der Mark (Ten Kate Junior Team Honda) of the Netherlands.

Points leader Romain Lanusse (MRS Yamaha Racing France) will set off from row 2 with sixth quickest time with the promising Italian Riccardo Russo (Trasimeno Yamaha) in eighth, while American Austin DeHaven (Trasimeno Yamaha) came off and was taken to the Medical Centre for a check but is OK.
