Checa claws top slot back in Q2
With the top 16 going on to this afternoon's Tissot-Superpole, second place went to another Ducati rider, Effenbert-Liberty Racing's Jakub Smrz while Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team) moved closer into third just behind the top 2.
Kawasaki Racing Team's Tom Sykes continues to appear at the top of the timesheets, the British rider in the fourth slot ahead of fellow Brit Leon Camier (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team) and an impressive Maxime Berger (Supersonic Ducati).
With the top 12 covered by seven-tenths of a second, Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team) headed his fellow Italians Ayrton Badovini (BMW Motorrad Italia SBK Team) and Michel Fabrizio (Suzuki Alstare) in seventh.
