Misano Adriatico statistics

SUPERBIKE

• Second career pole for Tom Sykes after last year's Imola round, the 55th for a British rider and the 21st for Kawasaki: it's the first time since the 1994-1995 seasons that Kawasaki are able to score pole positions in back-to-back seasons;

• fifth career double for Carlos Checa, who reaches Aaron Slight at thirteen wins. Carlos is on a sequence of four straight wins: curiously Biaggi last year recorded the same sequence, winning both races in Miller and Misano;

• Max Biaggi keeps on collecting second places and missing out on a win: during this season he has been second seven times, five of them behind Carlos Checa, who has won eight times this year;

• Tom Sykes in race one equalled the best result for a Kawasaki since 2007, when Fonsi Nieto was third in France. Last year Tom was fourth in the second Imola race, always starting from pole;

• Noriyuki Haga in race two scored his first podium since last year's Imola races;

• best career result for Ayrton Badovini, fourth in race two. Up to now his best placement was a sixth in this year's second Monza race;

• Sylvain Guintoli scored his third straight seventh place: he has finished in this position four times in the last five races;

• first top-10 finish for Chris Vermeulen, tenth in race two, since his win at Magny-Cours, back in 2005;

• maiden top-10 placement for Maxime Berger, tenth in race one.

SUPERSPORT

• maiden pole for Sam Lowes. At 20 years, 8 months and 29 days he is the second youngest in the championship history behind Chris Vermeulen, who in 2002 started from pole at Monza at the age of 19 years, 10 months and 23 days;

• 30th podium placement for Fabien Foret, now nine podiums shy of the absolute record belonging to Kenan Sofuoglu;

• tenth win in Kawasaki history by Broc Parkes. It's the first win for the Japanese manufacturer since Joan Lascorz won in Valencia last year.

SUPERSTOCK

• maiden pole for Danilo Petrucci, the 70th for an Italian rider in Superstock 1000;

• maiden win in Superstock 600 for Giuliano Gregorini.
