Rovelli steps in for Scassa at Misano!
From championship leader to assistant mechanic... Luca Scassa might not be able to race at Misano after the penalty inflicted on him for having ridden the track as a racing instructor, but he is present in the team garage throughout the weekend as assistant mechanic!

Scassa will be forced to do ‘penitence' for his error of judgement as he will be required to refuel the bikes, clean the wheels and pick up the Pirelli tyres from the compound...

But Scassa's role within the team will also undergo a complete volte-face as he will have to look after the bike of the man whom he is employed by and races for, as guest rider (and team manager) Giulio Rovelli takes his place on the 2011 race-winning machine for the Misano Supersport race.

Rovelli, who turns 40 years of age on June 23, has a discrete amount of racing experience in the Italian Supersport championship to his name. In the domestic series his last race was one year ago at Monza when he started 12th but crashed due to contact with another rider while in fourth place. His last track appearance was October 2010 in the Triumph ParkinGo Series at Magny-Cours.
