Toseland out with wrist fracture

Toseland, 17th and 14th on his Phillip Island debut with the BMW S1000RR, was immediately taken to Alcaniz Hospital where he underwent checks that showed he had not suffered any head injuries but had a small fracture to the wrist. Toseland immediately returned to Britain and went to a specialist hospital in Manchester where they worked on his right wrist.

The incident has ruled out any chance of Toseland taking part at the Donington Park event, where he won race 1 in 2007, and the British rider will be working hard to get fit in time for the next round at Assen's TT Circuit Van Drenthe.

The BMW Motorrad Italia SBK Team will as a result only be at Donington with Ayrton Badovini, who was able to improve the overall set-up of his BMW S1000RR at Aragon.
