BMW man heads the Kawasaki and Ducati chasers
Sylvain Barrier (BMW Motorrad Italia GoldBet STK Team) plucked pole from the final qualifying session at Portimao, setting easily the best lap of the session after a 1 minute 45.487 second circuit of the 4.592km Portuguese racetrack.
Bryan Staring (Team Pedercini Kawasaki) was second, some way behind, with Eddi La Marra (Barni Racing Team Italia Ducati) third. Christoffer Bergman (BWG Racing Kawasaki) put himself fourth, with Fabio Massei (EAB Ten Kate Junior Team Honda) and Jeremy Guarnoni (MRS Kawasaki) fifth and sixth fastest respectively.
