Nineteen year old Alex Schacht joins an ever growing list of former Superstock 600cc riders to make the step into the World Supersport Championship for 2013. The talented Dane, put pen to paper on Sunday and will line up for his debut World Championship season with the vastly experienced Racing Team Toth.
Schacht made huge steps forward last year narrowly missing out on the podium in several races on his way to 4th place overall in the European Superstock 600 Championship. He will be looking to once again lock horns with other Superstock graduates - Michael van der Mark, Matt Davies and Nacho Calero to name but a few.
"I am delighted, extremely excited and proud to have signed for Racing Team Toth" commented Alex Schacht. "They have a huge amount of experience and success in both the WSBK and GP paddocks and I know that they are the right team for me to make my debut appearance in World Championship competition."
