Entertainment continues off-track at Donington Park!
From rider concerts to auctions the open paddock of the Prosecco DOC UK Round will have plenty to offer for the British fans this year
As the battles for the championship titles continue, anticipation keeps building on ahead of Round 8 of the 2019 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship that will take place this weekend at the historic circuit of Donington Park.
Stage every year of outstanding racing action, the 2019 WorldSBK Prosecco UK Round will also have a lot more to offer to the fans off-track, as the Paddock Show and the Fan Zone will guarantee added entertainment all weekend.
Bigger and better than ever before the world-famous stage will continue to provide live commentaries of all sessions, unique chat shows with top riders, team managers and local heroes, and interactive quizzes with the chance to win exclusive prizes such as access to the starting grid, safety car laps, and other official WorldSBK goodies.
Once again, the parc fermé and the podium will be located right next to the stage, allowing fans visiting the open paddock to take part to the podium celebration and be the first to hear riders’ reactions after the race.
Moreover, on Saturday in the UK, after the popular Supershow that will bring all WorldSBK, WorldSSP and the top WorldSSP300 riders on stage to sign autographs, the Paddock Show will host the one and only CIA Landlord Insurance Rider Concert!
Stars of the event will be WorldSBK riders Toprak Razgatlioglu, Jordi Torres and championship leader Alvaro Bautista himself, that together with other WorldSSP and WorldSSP300 riders will perform live on stage their favourite hits! Don’t miss the incredible chance to see your heroes showcasing their hidden talent for singing! The concert will begin at 18:00 LT, just a few minutes after another traditional and unmissable appointment at the UK round, the Two Wheels for Life Charity Auction. Place your bid to purchase riders’ memorabilia and signed items donated by the stars of the championship to sustain the Two Wheels for Life charity project.
The paddock will be open for all ticket holders and kids under 13 will have free entrance when accompanied by a paying adult, meaning that the Prosecco DOC UK Round will be the perfect weekend activity for all families! The Fan Zone will guarantee fun and activities suitable for all ages. Shop official merchandise, enjoy the entertainment offered by Motul or get your face paint with your favourite riders’ colours. Apply for a road test drive of the official WorldSBK Hyundai Safety Car, or sip a glass of the famous Prosecco DOC, that will be distributed for free in the paddock!
And, for all the fans staying overnight at the campsite area, the party won’t end till late in the evening, as on Friday and Saturday live music will play until 11 pm. Take wheelie lessons with Extreme Wheelie in the Infield Area or watch the “vertical” stunt shows of Demon Drom Wall of Death and take a walk around the Ducati Owners Club Display featuring more than 100 Ducati bikes.
