Enjoy all the action as we welcome a new winner to the history books

Hosting the traditional British WorldSBK round, Donington Park welcomed one of the most exciting rounds of the season, with debut front row starters, podium finishers and race winners.

Beginning with Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) securing the record for the most pole positions in WorldSBK history in front of his home crowd, Race One threw up a historical moment in SBK® as Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) became the first Dutchman to win a WorldSBK race. Beating Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) in a straight up battle, it was a stunning race. But his feat was repeated in Sunday’s Race Two from the third row of the grid, and he was joined on the podium by Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing).

WorldSSP welcomed the second victory for Sandro Cortese (Kallio Racing), whilst Ana Carrasco (DS Junior Team) continued on a stunning run of form to take another victory and Markus Reiterberger (alpha Racing-Van Zon-BMW) was back to winning ways.
