Clash of titans: Rea and Lowes controversially collide at Jerez!

The Brits couldn’t behave themselves in Spain, as Lowes and Rea tangled together at the final corner of the last lap!
After a race long duel for third position at Jerez, Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Team) and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) found themselves right together on the final lap at the historic Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto. Having kept it clean all race, a rash move by Rea at the final corner wiped the Yamaha-man out of the race just a few hundred metres to the finishing line. Rea would later be punished for his actions but, once again, the final corner at Jerez ended in the gravel trap.
