Losail Race One and Valencia Race Two from 2007 now available on VideoPass

Step aside all challengers: the Roman Emperor has arrived. In 2007 the legendary Max Biaggi made his debut in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship and was immediately a strong favourite for the title. With four world championships and decades of experience, no presentation was needed for the Italian fan-favourite.

Biaggi made his debut for the Alstare Suzuki team at Losail, Qatar and was out to leave his mark right from the start, qualifying second in his first race. His first rival for the win? One James Toseland, who made his own talents clear in a fascinating duel.

The pair would face off several times during the year along with the always electric Noriyuki Haga. The fight for the championship ended up being as tight as they come, and that closeness was best reflected in an epic encounter in Spain. Valencia, Race Two, all three riders inside less than half a second: a breathtaking event.

Join us in remembering the Italian legend’s first steps in WorldSBK thanks to WorldSBK VideoPass, with this and many more classics available to watch now!
