Spanish rider set to recover from Superpole crash

FIM Supersport 300 World Championship rider Mika Perez (Kawasaki ParkinGO Team) is in a stable condition and is set to remain in Brno-Bohunice Hospital for observation overnight, following his crash in Superpole 1 at the Automotodrom Brno.

Involved in a crash with Paolo Grassia (BIBLION YAMAHA MOTOXRACING) coming out of turn 10 in the closing seconds of SP1, the session was immediately red flagged and Perez was taken to the medical center, before being transferred to the local hospital.

All medical assessments that have been done on the Spanish rider have come back as negative, and he has been diagnosed with a head injury and has concussion. Perez will not be declared fit for the race on Sunday, and will remain in hospital overnight for observation.
