Team green success sweeps through the series
Finishing on the podium in every race of the 2018 season, Kawasaki have been crowned manufacturers champions in the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. Beating KTM by 56 Points, their consistent performance has led to the title for the Japanese factory.

Not only have Ninja’s been impressing in the WorldSBK championship, but their success has spread over into the feeder WorldSSP300 class. After a sensational season, with the riders, teams and manufacturers titles all in contention, they were able to beat their rivals with consistency and reliability.

12 riders have been scoring points for Kawasaki throughout 2018 as the fight began in Spain back in April, and there has been a Kawasaki rider on the podium at every track around Europe. MotorLand Aragon began with Scott Deroue (Motoport Kawasaki) taking a second position in a tense final lap battle, before the Dutch rider secured a third position in front of his home fans one week later at TT Circuit Assen.

A return to Italy welcomed return to the top for Ana Carrasco (DS Junior Team), securing another win on the Kawasaki as she dominated around Imola to take the victory by 13 seconds. Taking this pace forward into Great Britain, she took her second victory on the bounce, four seconds ahead of team-mate Dorren Louriero.

Whilst it was Walid Khan (Nutec – Benjan – Kawasaki) who took their highest point scoring finish in the Czech Republic with a second position around a slippery Brno. Wild cards continued to impress before the summer break, with Manuel Bastianelli (PRODINA IRCOS Team) stunning to narrowly take the victory around Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Heading back after summer with a solid 33 point lead over KTM, and a lot of confidence, they were able to secure the title following a strong race for the green teams in Portugal.
