German rider ready to battle in front of his home fans

Making his return back into the MotoGP™ paddock for one weekend, FIM Supersport 300 World Championship contender Luca Grunwald (Freudenberg KTM WorldSSP Team) will be racing for home glory in the German GP at the Sachsenring.

Fresh off the back of a top five finish in WorldSSP300 at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the 23 year old secured second in the world championship standings as the series heads into their 10 week summer break. However, he is yet to stand on the podium since his victory at TT Circuit Assen back in April.

Now, he will set his sights on the Moto3™ series as the paddock rolls into Germany for the ninth round of their season. Grunwald is not short of experience in the championship, first making his debut in 2011 in the 125cc World Championship, before securing a full time ride in 2014.

Entering the race with the Freudenberg Racing Team, he will welcome the familiarity of his team around him, in order to put on the best possible performance in front of his home fans. Securing his best position of eighth at the Sachsenring back in 2012, he will be out with a point to prove this weekend.
