British rider looks forward to opening round following postive pre-season test

Trystan Finocchiaro (Scuderia Maranga Racing) is getting ready for his 2018 debut in the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship in just under two weeks time, and the 19 year old has put in some good winter testing time in order to be prepared for the season opener.

Spending three days around the MotorLand Aragon circuit – the same circuit which is set to host the first round of the season – the British rider was happy with the laps he was able to put in with his Honda CBR500R. Competing in four races in the WorldSSP300 series in 2017, he is yet to score points in the competitive class but with a permanent ride in 2018 he will no doubt soon become comfortable on Honda machine.

“Everything is falling in place perfectly,” begins the British youngster. “In terms of fitness, mental attitude, riding style, planning, the structure behind me, and as we have found this weekend machinery, I have never been more ready for a season. Compared to what I had tested in Germany last year, the bike has made a lot of crucial improvements. It was an extremely positive test, as we constantly worked to continue improving both myself and the bike, there is still more to come from both but we know exactly in which direction it will come from, so I can definitely say we are more than ready for the first round at Aragon”.

Clearly working hard on his set-up throughout the three day test in Northern Spain, the former Aprilia Superteen rider is prepared for a tough battle but looks forward to the fight from 13th – 15th April.
