GULF Althea BMW Racing Team rider ready for Spain after shoulder recovery

Fully recovered from the shoulder injury he suffered at Phillip Park, Loris Baz (GULF Althea BMW Racing Team) arrives to a track he knows well for Round 3 of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

In his previous stint in WorldSBK, Baz scored two consecutive second-place finishes at MotorLand Aragon while riding for KRT. The Frenchman has always performed well at the Aragon Round, and will be willing to put the accident he suffered in Australia behind him.

Sitting 9th in the championship on 21 points, Baz is ready for the Alcáñiz circuit: “I’m pleased because my shoulder is now almost 100%. I’ve been training fairly hard since Thailand and am not feeling any pain so that's good. As for Aragón, it’s always a little different when the championship lands in Europe. I hope we can start from where we were on Friday in Thailand, with strong pace. We have a few ideas to improve some aspects of the bike and hopefully the electronics too. I’m looking forward to the race, I have some great SBK memories at this track, one that I think should suit the bike quite well. The whole team was left disappointed after Buriram and I think we are all very motivated ahead of this race”.
