Germany the destination for the series in August

In just under a week the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship heads into the final third of the 2017 season, as Round Nine takes place at the Lausitzring in Germany. It will be a full house at the circuit, as all classes will put on a show around the 4.25km track.

On top of the WorldSBK class, World Supersport, World Supersport 300 and STK1000 will be out on track, followed by the German IDM series. A jam packed schedule means German fans will be treated to three days full of on track action.

German rider Stefan Bradl (Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team) makes his debut at Lausitzring and is looking forward to his home race: “I am excited to see how our performance will be at Lausitzring. I hope that I will be able to offer a great show to the German fans”. And with Markus Reiterberger (Van Zon Remeha BMW) back on the grid with a wildcard start he mentions: “Markus will be competitive, I’m sure about that. He has the quality to race with and be one of the best riders in the field, he will definitely put on a good performance at his home race.”

There also will be plenty for the fans in the paddock with Meet & Greets, autograph sessions, interviews with the riders and thrilling raffles. Teams and riders can be seen very closely at the pit walks on Saturday and Sunday, whilst the manufacturers offer test rides of their newest models. As well as this you can get the younger generation involved as children are able to gain their first motorsport experiences, with the SUZUKI mini quad course behind the main grandstand.

In the evenings, fans will be able to party the night away as the stage behind the grandstand will be a host to the party band Rockvalley on Friday and the Queen 2 Magic Tribute on Saturday. On top of this there be a DJ follow-up to their performances later into the night.
