Belgian rider to take on MotorLand Aragon with SC Racing

Heading into its third round of the series, the FIM Supersport World Championship will gain another rider to take on MotorLand Aragon next weekend, as 18 year old Loris Cresson has secured a one event ride with SC Racing.

The Italian team – formerly World Championship winning team Yaknickh Motorsport – are keen to see what Cresson can produce in the highly competitive category. The Belgian rider spent the second half of the 2016 season in the CIV Championship, as well as competing in the final round of the 2016 WorldSSP season in Qatar. Putting on a solid performance, he was able to secure a 12th position finish. With a Yamaha R6 machine, Cresson will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in Spain.

Cresson is looking forward to making his first appearance in the championship for 2017, and hopes SC Racing will provide him with a competitive package: “I'm really happy to be able to take part in the debut race of the 2017 World Supersport in Europe. I have been riding with the SC Racing team R6 since the end of 2016, and the results were excellent right away.”

“With this competitive bike and the advice of the technical staff, I'm getting better and better.” He continues, “The 12th position finish we secured in Qatar in 2016 is the starting point for us, as we hope to build a 2017 season of great results. We are really excited to be in Aragon and we hope to have many more chances in World Supersport this year.”

Cresson will take on his first WorldSSP session at MotorLand Aragon next week, with free practise getting underway on Friday 31st March at 11am LT, ahead of the racing action which kicks off on Sunday at 11:30am.
