Swedish rider to make return to World Supersport Championship

Making a return to the FIM Supersport World Championship, Swedish rider Christoffer Bergman joins the CIA Landlord Insurance Honda team from the next round at Lausitzring.

Returning to the team following a nine round stint back in 2016 with the British-based squad, the 27 year old will end the season alongside Jules Cluzel and Hikari Okubo. As the WorldSSP championship returns following a seven week long summer break, Bergman will take on Lausitzring in Germany where he secured a top eight finish last season.

Bergman is thrilled to get started in the second half of the season: “I am very pleased to be back racing in World Supersport together with this experienced team.  I know the team from last year and we had some great progress and good results at the end of the season and I hope we can continue from where we left off, even though it might take a couple of races to get up to full speed. I know what it takes to race at this level and I will do my best to be ready for the challenge, but it will be a big change from racing the Swedish Championship. I want to thank the team for believing in me and giving me this opportunity, and also a big thank you to everyone involved in making this possible.”
