Australian rider called up as replacement for remainder of the season

Following the announcement that Randy Krummenacher (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) has been forced to sit out of the remaining four rounds of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, it has been revealed Anthony West will take the seat.

The condition of the Swiss riders right wrist injuries began to worsen during training for the Prosecco DOC Portuguese Round, and it was announced last week he will be unable to compete for the remainder of the WorldSBK season.

Anthony West will make his return to the WorldSBK class, after competing in six rounds last season, in which he secured six top ten finishes. Delighted to return to the championship, West is keen to get to know the team and to get in the saddle of the ZX-10RR. With a podium to his name already this season in WorldSSP, he has a strong drive to produce some competitive performances.

West explains his delight:"I am very happy with this opportunity to return to World Superbike riding a Kawasaki with a strong team like Puccetti. I would also like to thank my EAB WEST RACING team for understanding my needs and giving me the chance to take this opportunity. Bakel Ferry and Peiro have been working hard to be able to continue running in Supersport this year, so it's also thanks to their efforts that I need this opportunity to return to Superbike. I'm excited to finish the season with a new bike and a new team, I'm looking forward to arriving in Portugal, and getting to know the Puccetti Racing team. "
