Ducati’s Marinelli: ‘We have proven it is possible to beat Kawasaki’

Ducati boss reflects on the ups and downs of 2015.
Between Australia and Malaysia, the 2015 WorldSBK season can be remembered for the domination of Jonathan Rea and Kawasaki Racing Team. But it can also be remembered for the stiff challenge put up by the Aruba.it Racing-Ducati SBK Team, with Chaz Davies in particular.
“Even at the beginning of the year, I was expecting Jonathan Rea to be very strong on the Kawasaki – it’s the bike to beat,” Ernesto Marinelli, the Ducati World Superbike Project Director, admits in an exclusive interview. “But we have proven it is possible to beat them and now we just need to beat them as much as possible!”
