Sofuoglu’s team manager comments on the hard time endured this year.

After coming so close to win last year’s Supersport World Championship with Kenan Sofuoglu, the Mahi Racing Team India has endured a difficult 2014 season so far. The three time WSS title winner’s performance was halted by several technical problems and crashes in many of the rounds, meaning the Turk is now out of the battle for ultimate prize.

Andy Stone, team manager for the Mahi Racing Team India Kawasaki, said: “After such a successful year in 2013 we improved the bike a bit more but we were not expecting to have a run of back luck like we had. All racing teams have good and bad years so we are going to work very hard now to finish the season the best way possible and to try and win every race. We know Kenan has the speed and talent to do so.”

“When you have luck, you can make errors and they won’t affect you but when luck runs out you cannot afford yourself any mistake because it punishes you very hard” Stone added. “The guys have been working very hard and they have made no mistakes, it has just been one problem after the other. Little things out of our control that have nothing to do with the Kawasaki equipment we had, it was just perfect.”
