The former GP star is happy with the performance by the Agro-On Wil Racedays rider line up.

Grand Prix and North West 200 race winner Jeremy McWilliams is enjoying his new role as in the Agro-On Wil Racedays Honda team manager on both STK1000 and STK600 sides of the garage. The 50 year old from Belfast, Nothern Ireland, is happy with the performance displayed so far by each of the five riders of the team. The first ever FIM Superstock 1000 Cup campaign for the Racedays squad has even gone beyond expecations, given the new challenge of developing the STK1000 version of the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP.

We had some stand out rides from Kyle (Smith) especially” said McWilliams, “who finished on the podium already but also from Josh (Day), who was twice fifth. We have been knocking on the door all the way through, we had a couple of DNFs for one reason or another but I’m really happy with what they have done so far and with the bike’s performance, too. We came not really knowing what level we could participate at and really surprised the whole paddock. We surely have been quite on the pace from early on.”

“The STK600 riders, in particular Kevin, coming from the European Junior Cup have stepped to the new class amazingly well” McWilliams continued. “He (Kevin Manfredi) is there or thereabouts every weekend. Again, he’s had a couple of DNFs which we kind of expect by someone who made such an important step from one series to the other. Jake Lewis has done the same running remarkably well with some strong showings so far. We took Chrissy Rouse from the Portuguese round and despite not having ridden a bike after winning the Triumph Triple Challenge back in 2013 he immediately stepped in at the sharp end. We’ve got five individually unique riders to work with and it has been a lot of fun.”
