The Ducati WSBK Project Director is expecting great things in 2015.

Ducati World Superbike Project Director Ernesto Marinelli is following closely the development of the 2015 version of the 1199 Panigale R that will be ridden next year by Davide Giugliano and Chaz Davies in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship. After a successful first winter test at the MotorLand Aragon Circuit, Marinelli is happy with the times set by both riders and he is looking forward to next week, as the Ducati Superbike Team will be back on track for a three day test at Jerez from Wednesday to Friday.

“The preparation for the 2015 season has already started and so far the indications we got are promising” said Ernesto Marinelli. “The riders didn’t find that many differences on the new bike compared to the 2014 version. We had few things to try then further new parts will be evaluated at Jerez next week. There are quite a lot of differences between the two bikes, starting from the electronics that are totally new including ECU, harness and different sensor due to the price cap introduced for next year. Even the engine has less tuning possibilities than in 2014. So far, though, the performance shown by both riders and their feedback are very positive.”
