What can be won at Jerez?

The final round of the 2026 season is here, and with all four categories taking to the track, two riders titles are still up for grabs

The Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto, Andalucia is full of all four categories of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship paddock as they fight for the 2026 campaign’s final points on offer. With all WorldSBK titles spoken for, WorldSSP, WorldSPB, and WorldWCR each have awards up for grabs, including the latter two categories’ Riders’ Championships.

WORLD SUPERBIKE’S BATTLE FOR BRONZE

Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) can practically taste a bronze medal finish in the WorldSBK Riders’ Championship. The Italian holds a 53-point lead with 62 points left to play for, meaning the sophomore #5 can win it if he finishes the Race 1 with at least a 38-point lead over Englishman Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team).

WORLD SUPERSPORT CHALLENGE UP FOR GRABS

WorldSSP’s Challenge award pits Honda’s Corentin Perolari (Honda Racing World Supersport) against QJMOTOR’s Raffaele de Rosa (QJMOTOR Factory Racing). The Frenchman holds a 25-point lead with 50 points left to play for, meaning that if he can outscore the Italian by a single point and lose no more than four points to any other Challenge rider in Race 1, he will claim the award.

WORLD SPORTBIKE’S FIRST-EVER TITLE ON THE LINE

David Salvador (Team ProDina Kawasaki XCI) currently leads Xavi Artigas (MTM Kawasaki) by 12 points as the Spaniards arrive at the final round of the inaugural WorldSPB season. If the #38 can outscore Artigas by 14 points or more, he can be crowned as early as Race 1. The Teams’ title is up for grabs as well, with Team ProDina Kawasaki XCI leading the title race. They will be Champions if their riders score at least six points in Race 1 or lose at most 39 points to MTM Kawasaki.

HERRERA VS NEILA FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE SEASON

Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) forced the WorldWCR Riders’ Title to the season’s final round back at Donington Park; however, Maria Herrera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR) will still feel confident of her chances at Jerez. The #6 holds 44 points in hand on her rival, and with 50 potential points remaining; Herrera can win her second World Championship title after Race 1 if she scores at least six points or loses no more than 19 points to Neila.
