Gardner ruled fit to compete at Estoril after Cremona hand injury, will be reviewed after FP1

The #87 is back in business in Portugal after a left hand fracture saw his weekend at Cremona end early

Australian MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship rider Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) has been ruled fit after a checkup at the medical centre at the Circuito Estoril. He had been ruled unfit early on Sunday at Cremona with a broken fifth metacarpal in his left hand, which, despite suffering the injury in an FP2 crash on Friday and soldiering on to compete in Race 1, it caught up with him on the final day of that round. Now, however, the #87 is back in action and will take to the track on Friday in the penultimate round of the WorldSBK season and will be reviewed after the opening Free Practice 1 session.
