Australia’s Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) looked fit to fight on Saturday in Race 1 as he battled with teammate Stefano Manzi near the middle of the pack. Sunday morning, however, brought bad news for the competitive #87, as he was assessed in the medical centre, where he was diagnosed with worsening symptoms from a broken fifth metacarpal in his left hand. The team stated that Gardner sustained the injury in his FP2 crash, and as issues arose on Sunday morning, he will miss the final day of the EICMA Italian Round.
