Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates) will return to MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship action at the Cremona Circuit following a pre-round medical check. The #46 was injured in a crash at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in Race 2, with the British rider diagnosed with multiple contusions and a suspected concussion. Ahead of the EICMA Italian Round, Bridewell underwent a check and was declared fit.
Bridewell had shown strong pace in France but his weekend was marred by two big crashes. The first, in Race 1, occurred at Turn 14 but the Wiltshire-based rider was declared fit after this. The second was in Race 2 at Turn 3 which brought out the red flags, with Bridewell taken to the medical centre for a check-up following the crash where he had his diagnosis of multiple contusions and a suspected concussion. At Cremona on Thursday, Bridewell had a medical check and was given the green light to compete in Italy.
