The Cremona Circuit hosts MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship action this weekend as Round 10 of the season awaits. It’s going to be an emotional one for Pirelli who mark their final home round as WorldSBK’s Official Tyre Supplier, and the EICMA Italian Round will continue their development. There is a new development SCX tyre in the allocation for Cremona, while other options at the front and rear come from the standard range.
NEW REAR OPTION
There are four slick tyres for riders to use in WorldSBK at Cremona. For the Tissot Superpole session, Tissot Superpole Race and practice sessions, the SCQ is available. The harder of the two tyres that can be used in the full-length races is the standard SC0 tyre, while there are two options for the SCX. The standard one is available while there is a development SCX available too, the F0769, which has been designed to provide greater stability through corners and on the exit. It has a new construction compared to the standard tyre but retains the same compound. In the event of rain, the standard Intermedia and standard Rain tyres are available.
STANDARD FRONT SOLUTIONS
For the front tyre choices, there are two slick tyre options and both come from the standard range. The hardest of the two is the SC2 medium while the softest is the SC1 soft. The SC1 tyre is most commonly used throughout the season, but the SC2 provides more mechanical resistance and greater protection from wear, making it a suitable choice for tracks where there is high level of stress on the front tyre. Should it rain, the options for the front are the standard Intermediate and standard Rain tyres.
WORLD SUPERSPORT OPTIONS
For the World Supersport field, there are standard options available at both the front and the rear tyre. For the front, riders can choose from the SC1 soft and the SC2 medium and, should it rain, the standard Rain tyre. For the rear tyre options, the softest available tyre is the SCX supersoft, while the hardest is the SC0 soft. In the event of rain, riders can fit the standard Rain tyre.

Discussing the tyre allocations and the Cremona weekend, Giorgio Barbier, Motorcycle Racing Director at Pirelli, said: “For the Italian Round, we will provide riders with a new supersoft development solution, the F0769. This specification uses the same compound as the SCX range tyre but introduces a completely new structure, developed with the aim of increasing motorcycle stability through the corner and on corner exit, while maintaining a high level of performance consistency over the race distance. Last year, with particularly high temperatures, almost all riders opted for the E0126 supersoft development tyre. Thanks to the results achieved on track, this solution was subsequently promoted to a range tyre and is now available to all motorcyclists. It will therefore be particularly interesting to assess the behaviour of the new F0769 compared with a well-established solution that is highly appreciated by the riders. The Cremona weekend will also have a special significance for Pirelli. It is in fact the final Italian race of a 23-year history as the sole tyre supplier to WorldSBK. To celebrate this important milestone, we will have a dedicated grandstand for our employees, to whom we wish to express our gratitude for the fundamental contribution they have made to the success of this journey.”
