The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship hit Donington Park last weekend for a sensational Prosecco DOC UK Round. Streaks end but history was made in the UK and we’ve rounded up the best stats for you in one easy place.
550/551 – Italy recorded their 550th WorldSBK podiums thanks to Nicolo Bulega's (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) Race 2 win. Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) finished P3 in the same race, so Italy moved immediately onto 551 podiums.
378 – Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) started his 378th WorldSBK race at Donington, moving him into second place in the all-time list, ahead of Troy Corser (377). Only Jonathan Rea (Honda HRC), with 479, has started more.
141 – It took Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) until his 141st race to win in WorldSBK, the second-longest wait for a first win. The longest wait is Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha), who won in his 154th race.
80 – Bulega has recorded 80 podiums in WorldSBK. His next target is Aaron Slight, who had 87 in his career.
46 – Bulega passed Corser for fastest laps, moving onto 46. His next target is Carl Fogarty with 48.
43 – Bulega’s Race 2 victory was his 43rd in WorldSBK, putting him level with Noriyuki Haga. His next target is Troy Bayliss, on 52.
25/37 – Bulega’s winning run came to at end after 25 races. However, his all-time podium streak continues; he’s now on 37 consecutive rostrums.
22 – Ducati have now won 22 Manufacturers’ Championships in WorldSBK, including the last five.
18 – Lecuona’s win ended a run of 18 consecutive P2 finishes, an all-time record.
9 –Bulega made it nine consecutive pole positions, a new all-time record.
7 – Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) has stood on the podium seven times this season, his best in a single season. He had 0 podiums in 2024, and five in 2025.
5 – Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates) equalled his best WorldSBK result with P5 in Race 1.
4 – Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) finished P4 in Race 2, his best finish at Donington Park. When finishing races, ‘El Bocia’ has only been outside the top ten once since Race 1 at the Autodrom Most.
