Vickers to replace Dixon at Misano, #96's progress "encouraging" but focused on the next phase of his rehabilitation programme

The #96 will be withdrawing from competition in Round 7 to focus on his left wrist’s recovery after being ruled unfit at Aragon mid-round

Despite having made his long-awaited debut for Honda in a MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship race, Jake Dixon (Honda HRC) will excuse himself from competition at the upcoming Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round in pursuit of maximising his functional rehabilitation programme across the next four weeks before his home round at Donington Park. At the Aragon Round, he participated up until early Sunday, when he was declared unfit following the morning’s Warm Up session. As a result, his compatriot and current British Superbike rider Ryan Vickers will return to the WorldSBK paddock to ride atop his Honda CBR1000RR-R SP in his stead alongside Somkiat Chantra over the weekend at Misano, June 12-14th.
