Sunday morning at MotorLand Aragon brought bombshell news ahead of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship’s Tissot Superpole Race, as it was announced Jake Dixon (Honda HRC) will miss Sunday’s doubleheader of race action on account of increased symptoms of fatigue in his left wrist. The #96 had to wait until Round 6 at Aragon to make his debut in the paddock after suffering a pre-season injury at Phillip Island and consequentially undergoing surgery. Now, after a P16 landing in the Championship in Race 1 at Aragon, the Brit will miss yet more time in 2026.
He stated his satisfaction with being able to finish the race amid his ongoing recovery, and while he conceded he was in “a lot of pain”, missing the point-scoring positions in his debut was no small feat. He plans to continue his hard work with the physios and will focus on getting back to 100% by the upcoming Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round, with action kicking off on June 12th.
